Notes

  • The megawatt-to-kilowatt relationship is exact (1 MW = 1,000 kW); no rounding is introduced by the conversion itself.
  • Power (measured in watts) is different from energy (measured in watt-hours). A 1 MW plant running for one hour produces 1 megawatt-hour (MWh) of energy. Do not confuse MW with MWh.
